E-government and Sustainability Institute (ESI) conduct joint research with Prof Klaus Hubacek from University of Groningen, the Netherlands on Climate Change and sustainability policy.

Floods, droughts, and heat waves are all examples of extreme weather that scientists predict will become more often as the climate continues to warm. The research conducted by ESI and the University of Groningen is highlighted in this part as it contributes to a more complete comprehension of these threats. Long-term damage from climate change is inevitable. That’s why it’s important to look at potential methods of adaptation. A solid understanding of a variety of environmental indicators is necessary for these actions to have any effect.

Prof. Eko Priyo Purnomo, as director of ESI, hopes to discover solutions to the shared problems facing Indonesia and the European Union in order to make the world a better place for future generations, particularly in the area of sustainability, through this partnership. The findings of this collaborating research encompass a wide range of topics, including sustainable management of biodiversity and forests, waste management, sustainable consumption and production, and management of waste, as well as the use of renewable energy sources like palm oil.
