Yogyakarta, on 17/07/2023, assistance in writing and submitting scientific papers was carried out to strengthen the writing of scientific papers organized by the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Assistance in writing and scientific papers was attended by approximately 65 participants consisting of lecturers of the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta who will go to the AA, LK, and GB levels which were held at the Grand Rohan Hotel Yogyakarta. This assistance was delivered by Prof. Eko Priyo Purnomo, M.Si., M.Res., Ph.D as Director of E-Governance and Sustainability Institute (ESI) as a speaker in the first session.
This series of mentoring aims to provide information and direction to participants who will submit journals that will be submitted in international journals, especially those indexed by Scopus. This assistance discusses tips and tricks on choosing valid journal references that participants can easily access and also practices how to access several journals that Scopus have indexed. The ESI team provides direction and input on writing systematics with Scopus standards, ranging from titles, abstracts, introductions, literature reviews, and results.
The output of this mentoring activity is expected that all participants will be able to meet good writing standards to publish in international journals indexed by Scopus. In the last session, the steps and directions that had been conveyed could be applied well by the participants even though there were still some participants who had difficulties accessing the journal.
